Indoor aquaculture powered by RAS

Building a dependable local fish supply

Reef Alhurair is developing an indoor aquaculture platform in Hail, starting with tilapia and connecting water quality, operations, chilling and delivery through clear records before commercial scale-up.

About Reef Alhurair

An operating platform, not a marketing claim

The project is designed to connect water, oxygen, feed, biosecurity, harvest, chilling and delivery in one measurable and reviewable operating chain.

Monitored water

Operating readings, alarms and response routines are tested before loading is increased.

Planned production

Batches, size bands and schedules are tied to actual capacity and buyer requirements.

Documentable quality

Records connect inputs, operating actions and results from rearing through delivery.

Phased scale-up

Performance, demand and collections are proven before capacity is expanded.

RAS technology

How does the water loop work?

Water is treated and returned to the tanks through operating loops designed to improve monitoring, isolate risk and limit the effect of a single failure.

Rearing tanks

Stocking, feeding and fish behaviour are managed against an operating plan.

Solids removal

Waste is captured early to reduce the organic load on downstream treatment.

Biofiltration

The biological stage supports controlled conversion of nitrogen compounds.

Degassing and oxygenation

Oxygen and carbon dioxide are managed through measurement and alarm points.

Monitor and return

Treated water returns to the tanks with routine readings and documented response.

Final operating limits and capacities will be published only after design freeze and pilot commissioning results are confirmed.
Product and market

Start with tilapia, then expand on evidence

Phase one is intended to prove the operating model, product specification and service before additional formats or species are introduced.

01

Chilled whole tilapia

The initial target format. Size bands and packaging will be fixed after production and market validation.

02

B2B supply programmes

Weekly schedules built around actual capacity, buyer specification and receiving windows.

03

Later processing formats

Cleaned, portioned or filleted formats follow proven volume and processing-compliance readiness.

Quality approach

Quality is built into the operating system

We separate what is planned, what is under validation and what has been formally approved. No technical, environmental or certification claim is published without evidence defining its scope and date.

1

Water quality

Operating limits, calibration and verification records.

2

Biosecurity

Quarantine, hygiene, movement routes and dedicated tools.

3

Feed and inventory

Supplier, batch, storage, consumption and waste records.

4

Harvest and handling

Readiness, grading, timing and batch identification.

5

Chilling and delivery

Measurement, loading and receiving requirements.

6

Complaints and correction

Isolation, root-cause review, corrective action and closure.

Communications rule: terms such as organic, antibiotic-free, eco-friendly or certified are not used unless an official and relevant evidence pack supports the statement.
Supply and partnerships

The supply programme is shaped with the buyer

Before commercial launch, we collect volume, size, location, receiving-window and acceptance requirements so the market promise remains aligned with operating capacity.

Restaurants and hotelsStable specification, scheduled delivery and clear response.
Wholesale and distributionVolume, coverage, cold chain, data and collections.

Project stages

From development to disciplined scale

1

Design and setup

Confirm requirements, systems and operating infrastructure.

2

Pilot commissioning

Test water stability, growth, survival and response routines.

3

Product and service validation

Test specification, packaging and delivery with selected buyers.

4

Disciplined scale-up

Expand after operations, demand and collections are proven.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers from the start

The website presents the project as it is, without implying availability or approval that has not yet been confirmed.

Is the product available now?

The project is under development. This website is for information and business or partnership enquiries; it does not announce immediate commercial availability.

Why is Reef Alhurair using RAS?

RAS supports management of the aquatic environment in a monitored indoor system that treats and recirculates water, while requiring disciplined technical, power and emergency arrangements.

Does the project hold certifications?

No certification is announced before formal issuance. When issued, the name, number, scope and date will be shown clearly.

Can suppliers and technical partners register?

Yes. Select the relevant enquiry type in the form and describe the product, service and relevant experience.
